The ferry terminal is 20 minutes from most Silverdale neighborhoods. For car commuters, Highway 3 south to the Bremerton Bridge, then north on Highway 16 to the Tacoma Narrows area is the main alternate route — though this is not practical for daily Seattle commuting.
